The Sikkim government has instituted a unique award for children who selflessly serve their parents. Named The Shravan Kumar Award, this state recognition of filial piety carries a total prize amount of Rs 30 lakh. The first three awardees will get Rs 15 lakh, Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh each.
The government has launched the ‘Mere Rukh Mere Santati’ campaign, under which one hundred and eight saplings should be planted in the name of every child after birth.

According to the announcement that the Driver’s Day will be observed every year, from the year 2022, the Driver’s Day has been started under the relevant department under the name of ‘Sarathi’.

A total of 3050 houses were constructed for the poor under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana at a cost of 17 lakh 51 thousand 682 rupees and with a surface area of 97.5 square feet.
10000 new houses will be constructed soon under this scheme. The surface area of this house has been increased compared to the CMRHM scheme of the previous government and under the scheme every house has been provided with furniture along with a television set.
Old age allowance has been arranged to be given every month instead of 6 months and the old age allowance has been increased as follows.
Under this, the 60- to 70-year- olds will get Rs. 1500, 70- to 80-year-olds Rs. 2000 and above 80 years Rs. 2500 per month.
Even at a time when the country and the world are going through an economic crisis due to the Corona epidemic, Sikkim has been able to distribute benefits to the people of the state by maintaining excellent economic reforms. 526.87 crore in Sikkim poor housing scheme, house renovation Rs. 24.70 crores and in house covering Rs.9.30 crores. Rs. 560.87 Crores (Rs. Five Hundred Sixty Crore Eighty Seven Lakhs) has been distributed directly to the public. Under this scheme, the benefit of the scheme will now be given to the needy families again.
It has implemented the rule of giving 10 percent reservation in jobs to these financially poor families.
Considering the welfare of students from poor families, 16,000 inverters have been distributed.
The compensation amount given to the families of those killed in wild animal attacks is from Rs. 2 lakh by increasing it to Rs. 5 Lakh.
Under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana, the government has set a big target of constructing 10,000 houses by 2024.
